About 150 Tunisian enterprises willing to participate in « Afribat 2018 » in Cameroon
(TAP) – President of the Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ridha Fourati announced Thursday in Tunis that 150 Tunisian enterprises affirmed willingness to participate in the 1st edition of the African building exhibition « Afribat » that the Chamber will organise in the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé in April 17-22, 2018.

He added in a statement to the press on the fringes of a meeting devoted to the presentation of the event that « the reservation of stands by professionals and enterprises specialised in the building and public works sector (BTP) and related professions has made important steps, proving the interest of the professional circles in this event the 1st of its kind in Africa. »

Fourati pointed out that the various preparations for the exhibition that the Chamber is organising with the assistance of Cameroon’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Crafts (CCIMA) are proceeding at a brisk pace, indicating that several local and international structures have expressed their interest in « AFRIBAT, » including the Permanent Conference of African and Francophone Consular Chambers (CPCCAF) which has agreed to sponsor the event.

He said that the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX), which has expressed willingness to support the event at the logistical and material levels, will be present in particular through the Export Promotion Fund (FOPRODEX), in order to strengthen the chances of success of the event as an opportunity to boost the export of services in the building sector and consolidate the Tunisian presence on African markets.

Some 400 Tunisian, Cameroonian and foreign exhibitors and 10 thousand professionals are expected in the exhibition. In addition, 300 meetings of direct partnerships are planned.
